• Thomas H. Lee Partners completes acquisition of inVentiv Health (VTIV).
• Boeing (BA) completes acquisition of Argon (STST).    
• ONCAP completes acquisition of Sport Supply Group (RBI).  

Updated Deals:

• Comtech (CMTL) and CPI International (CPII) receive HSR second request.
• Hertz (HTZ) gets approval from Canadian Competition Bureau on Dollar Thrifty (DTG) deal. 
• Mariner (ME) and Apache (APA) amend terms of deal to eliminate Mariner's $67M termination fee if it terminates the transaction.  
• CGI Group (GIB) extends tender offer for Stanley (SXE) until Aug 16.
• Celgene (CELG) and Abraxis Biosciense (ABII) receive early termination of HSR.  
• OMNI Energy (OMNI) and Wellspring Capital receive early termination of HSR.  
• American Physicians (ACAP) and Th Doctors Company receive early termination of HSR.
• Federal Energy Regulatory Commission (FERC) approves merger of Mirant (MIR) and RRI Energy (RRI).   
• ATS Medical (ATSI) shareholders approve acquisition by Medtronic (MDT) and expect closing Aug 12.  
• Cornell Companies (CRN) anticipates closing merger with GEO Group (GEO) on Aug 12. 
• SouthWest Water (SWWC) shareholders approve merger.
